I've been tagged...

I've been tagged by Beachrunner411 & NCrunner12.
Well, I need to tell you 6 things about myself.
  • When I was a freshman in High School, our track team ran against Carl Lewis in Willingboro,NJ. While I personally didn't run against him, I was there watching teammates compete against him. Who knew he would become one of the greatest ever.
  • I met Flavor Flav in 1988, in Chicago, at about 4:00am, as I was coming in from the bars. He was in front of me on the escalator, I thought it was him, tapped him on the shoulder and asked him if he was FF. He turned around, took off his sunglasses, and smiled (with gold teeth & clock) and said "That's me G!". I spent the next hour drinking with Flav at the Hyatt bar.
  • I am a lifelong fan of the Flyers & Phillies. I actually remember the Flyer cup wins! (I was 8 for their 1st win). I'm now 42, with 2 boys, waiting for #3!!
  • I was at the 2001 Daytona 500, when Dale Earnhardt died. You knew it was bad (yellow caution tape around the car was a sign), but you had no idea he had died.
  • I enjoy reading biographies, and actually read the Regan Diaries.
  • I didn't think I would enjoy "blogging", but it has turned into quite the experience. I think it has actually helped with my running.
  • Here are 3 people who are tagged! Shoreturle, Ted & Progman2000!

Was his clock set to the correct time? Furthermore, is it EVER set to the correct time? Would Flav know what "correct time" even means? Awesome!

Nice win for the Phillies last night too. Perhaps your sons will see a World Series come to Philly before the Stanley Cup is hoisted there again! Also, last night at the NHL kickoff on CBC they had Def Leppard doing their old man crap on stage, and when they brought the Cup out the dumbass lead singer picked it up, and then put it on it's pedestal upside down! It's a F'n Cup you moron! Back to the UK with you...

How WAS that convo w/ Flavor Flav? Must've been very interesting :)

I'm with you on the blogging. I didn't really get it until I developed "friendships" in the blogosphere. Too funny!

CONGRATS on #3! Enjoy the one-on-one before you move on to zone defense...

What in the world did you and Flav have to talk about?!? Haha.

I drove by the Phillies game yesterday on the way to Atlantic City. The place looked electric! We wanted to be there so bad!

Thanks for sharing, those are definitely very interesting things! I remember siting in front of the TV and watching when Earnhardt died. It was a really crazy accident. And congratulations on son #3!! When is the big day?

Ummm... We are not having #3. I ment a FLYERS 3rd CUP !

As far as a convo w/ Flav.. It was very interesting. He ordered a margarita, and complained to the waitress that it was a virgin marg, and to "put some alcohol in dis bitch!". Remeber, this was way before his flavor of love, and at the height of PE. He treated me well, guess it was because I was buying, or should I say my father, as I put the drinks on his room tab.

Vava, I saw a few songs by DL, and they were soo bad, it was like looking at a car accident. You don't want to look, but you couldn't help it.

Yaaaahhhhh Boyyyyy!

I was the same way when I started this blog, wasn't sure what I would get out of it, but figured it's one of those "things" to do and didn't want to do the whole facebook thing. Now thanks to many folks here I've gotten quite motivated and have gotten way more out of it then I ever thought.

Thanks for the photo compliments!

As far as my camera, the Crowes shots were just taken with my little (old) Canon Power Shot Digital Elph that I can fit in my back pocket. The trick it to just play with the settings to get it to look good. They are a little grainy because of the Digital Zoom, but I think it works in those pics.

The leaves were taken with my Canon Rebel. A bit of a better camera, but nothing too crazy. It's hard to take bad pictures of the leaves. Haha.

It took me awhile to post, but I've come up with 6 random things. Thanks for the tag.
