5-1/2 miles of trails

I went for a trail run by myself today. It's not quite as much fun, as it is with a group.
I ran a lot of the same trails we do on Saturday's.
There was a little action on parts of the trails. My goal was to run out to the dam, but I got a bit side tracked. I came up on what I think is a new "whirly twirly" trail. This trail even had a biker on it. I let him pass, thinking he was going to be flying along the trail, which by the way, was maybe a foot wide! I was wrong.

It was tough for him to turn, so I hung back a bit.

When I got out of the whirly twirly, I ran up on some deer.

You can see the white of his tail. There was about 4-5 of them, that I saw. They took off as soon as they saw me. Bunch of chickens.

Anyway, I felt good, no ankle pain, so maybe the worst is behind me. I have my fingers crossed on that one.

I did a quick 4 mile run on Sunday, and had no pain, and that was after the ankle roll on Saturday.

5-1/2 miles 54:21 (9:52 avg.)

You are becoming a trail running freak! I mean that in a good way. Nice job with the camera too.

Never ran on a trail before...sounds like fun, but I think I'd get lost in those woods...

I seriously "LOLed" at your "chickens" comment.

I can't believe you almost broke your ankle and it healed you!

Nice! I alomost remember what it was like to be able to run. PT starts tonight.

Can't wait to be able to get back out there and chase some deer and some bikers!

I also almost remember how to spell "almost". Alomost, but not quite.

This just reminds me that I have to do some trail running. Funny, I just don't do it often.

I have got to find some trails around me to run on... I know there has to be some.

Trailrunning has to be so peaceful.
