My daily obeservations, as I can now call myself a Marathoner!
I think that donating your old shoes is a great idea. I have a ton, just no place to put em. The last few I have had have gone to Goodwill.
We did something like that with our sat. morning running group... really good idea and a good cause.
This is a great idea because my old running shoes are usually in pretty good shape (for non-running purposes) when I retire them. That's probably the case with most runners' old shoes. Teh 'Bride recently found a place near us that takes old running shoes, but I don't remember the particulars.
They had at the marathon I did. I thank God for it because not only is it a good cause but it clears up space in the closet LOL
Good idea. The store where I bought my last pair (Running Free) has a bin where you can drop off old pairs for donation. Seems like all stores should have this!
I definitely need to do this. Someone came by the other day and was SHOCKED at the massive quantity of shoes we had in the entryway.
It has always been my routine to donate my old running kicks to my local running stores every time I get a new kicks. I think it is terrific that a lot of others are doing the same.
I always recycle my running shoes. If you can't make it to the expo, a lot of local running stores/clubs will take them. Just ask around!
I've done that a couple times in the past. Makes ya feel good about yourself. And you sure can use that when running a marathon is so close. I bet the past few days have seemed like there are lasting forever. Sleeping well?
I was going to post this same thing. It's a great idea! I have three pair to donate!
It's nice idea to donate old running shoes...
